Salvo fired in Amenity War

FAIRFIELD HARBOUR – An ongoing skirmish, that some have labeled the ‘Amenity War,’ took a unique turn last week when attorneys for the community’s Property Owners Association asked that a Superior Court judge in Craven County rule on the legal propriety of a contemplated – but not yet consummated – purchase.

The Association’s seven-member board of directors wants to buy the community’s golf courses, recreational facilities, and other holdings, now owned and operated by third party purveyor MidSouth Golf.
