Town of Bayboro calls special meeting Jan. 6

The Town of Bayboro Town Council has called a special meeting for January 6, 2010 at 7 p.m. at the Ned Delamar Center, Pamlico Community College to view a powerpoint presentation given by the NC STEP Committee for the purpose of updating the Town Council.

With the help of the NC Rural Development Center and Chilton Rogers, STEP Coach, the Leadership Team has reached the Project Identification Phase of the “Small Towns Economic Prosperity Program” (STEP). The Team is comprised of citizens from Bayboro, citizens from other towns, and Pamlico County residents in general. We believe our efforts have been a geographically inclusive process.

It is during this phase that we identify projects to develop and implement, which would be most beneficial to Pamlico County. As part of this process and to keep the Town of Bayboro’s Town Council, all Pamlico County municipalities, and Pamlico County government, informed of the STEP Committee’s progress, Ms. Rogers has developed a power point presentation to present to the Bayboro Town Council.

The presentation is scheduled for Jan. 6, 2010 at 7 p.m. at the Ned Delamar Center, Pamlico Community College. By working together, we can still achieve our individual goals while moving Pamlico County forward to thrive and prosper, as we manage inevitable growth.
